BEYOND PROCESS is a live audiovisual performance inside a system of handpan, electronics and generative imagery.
Rather than following a predetermined composition, I improvise within that system... playing the handpan, manipulating electronic instruments and processing, and responding to what comes back. The generative imagery evolves through the same exchange, becoming another participant in the performance.
What interests me is the point where the boundaries begin to blur... between musician and instrument, action and response, process and result. I influence the system, the system gives me something unexpected, and that changes what I do next.
The piece emerges from that recursive conversation.
